When we use led strip light in projects,we need to cut the led strip light in length.Sometimes,we also need to cut the multiple led strip light.We need to use fast led connector to connect the led strip light.And connect the led strip light to led power supply.
Following post will let you know how to cut the led strip light in length et how to connect the led strip light with fast connector then can connect with the power supply.
Step 1,Prepare material
We need led strip light,scissors,solder-less fast connector.The fast connector have some kinds,wire to strip connector,strip to strip light connector,middle connector.And have led connect for 8mm single color led strip light,led connect for 10mm single color led strip light,led connect for RGB led strip light,led connect for RGBW led strip light,led connect for RGBCCT led strip light,led connect for CCT change led strip light.
Step 2,Measure the led strip light length you need
Normally, the led strip light is 5 meter/roll.When you install in cabinet or some other place.You need to cut the length you need.
Step 3,Cut the led strip light with scissors
There are cut marks in the led strip light PCB.Normally, DC12V led strip light is 3leds unit.DC24V led strip light is 6leds unit.You can see copper dots in the cut marks.Don’t cut anywhere else the cut marks,otherwise one unit of the led strip light won’t work.
Step 4,Use the wire to strip light connector
After cutting the led strip light , we need a wire to strip light connector.Then we can connect the led strip light with power supply.First,we need to open the connector clip.Second,we need to plug the led strip light into the connector.Third, close the clip on the quick connector.
*Important,we need to make sure two led strip light are connect to the same positive and negative markings.Otherwise,one pcs of the led strip light won’t work.
Step 5,Use the middle connector with the led strip light
You can use almost the same way of the wire to strip light connector.Just the function is different.
