Materials You Need
LED Strip Light
SMD5050-60LED/M-DC24V and SMD2835-120LED/M-DC24V are the most popular for cabinet lighting. Warm white and natural white are most used.
LED Power Supply
Mean Well recommended — good quality and long life. Check total watts first, then choose the right wattage.
Cables / Connectors
Connect 220V to the power supply, then to the strip. Fast connectors make cutting and connecting easy.
How to Choose the Right Power Supply
20 meters of SMD5050-60LED/M-DC24V = 20m × 14.4W/m = 288W
Power supply needed = 288W ÷ 80% = 360W → choose a 360W driver
Installation Guide — Step by Step
Measure the Length
Measure the area first, so you know how long a strip you need.
Cut the LED Strip
Cut the strip at the cutting point with scissors.
Heat Solder on Copper Pad
Heat solder onto the copper pad on the LED tape.
Solder Power Supply Wire
Solder the wire to the tape. Match + to positive, − to negative.
Wire to Mains + Heat Shrink
Wire the power supply to mains and place heat shrink over the connector.
Screw Power Supply to Cabinet
Screw the power supply securely to the cabinet.
Stick LED Tape Under Cabinet
Remove the backing tape and stick the LED tape under the cabinet.
Keep Wires in Place
Keep the wires neat and fixed in place.
