4 Ways to Power LED Strips Without a Plug
Dry / Rechargeable Batteries
For DC3V/DC5V strips. Two 1.5V dry batteries in series give 3V; four 1.2V rechargeable cells give nearly 5V.
Storage Batteries
For DC12V/DC24V strips — lead-acid or lithium-ion batteries offer higher voltage and capacity for extended use.
Battery Adapters
Step-up or step-down converters adjust battery output to match the strip voltage when they don’t align.
USB Power
5V strips run conveniently from power banks or high-capacity portable chargers with USB output.

Example: a DC12V LED strip at 10W/m powered by a 10000mAh battery.
10000mAh = 37Wh (1mAh × 3.7V = 0.0037Wh)
1-meter LED strip at 10W/m = 10W
T = Total battery energy (Wh) ÷ Strip power (W)
37Wh ÷ 10W = 3.7 hours ≈ 3h 42min
