How to choose good quality Fita LED and avoid loss? This post shows you a high-quality LED strip light VS a cheap & low-quality strip.
Sometimes customers send us LED strip samples from other factories. Some prices are very low, and they want to know the difference. In this post, Lightstec shows you how to tell them apart.

1. Lightstec High-Quality LED Strip Light
Double-layer copper PCB is better for heat dissipation and lower voltage drop.
Designed for professional project use.
Our LED strip light uses a 151R resistance with 12.8W/m power.
Our LEDs pass LM-80, which means the strip can be used for a longer time.
We use original 3M 9080A tape. Check the data sheet here: 3M 9080 data sheet (PDF).
It sticks strongly and securely when used properly.
Our LEDs are 18–20lm, RA>80, with 100lm/W light efficacy.
The copper LED holder dissipates heat well and does not rust easily, giving a longer lifetime than iron-holder LEDs.
2. Cheap & Low-Quality LED Strip Light
Single-layer PCB has a larger voltage drop.
Made for low-price products.
Cheaper strips use a 181R resistance with only 11.8W/m.
They lower the power because they cannot handle higher wattage — heat dissipation is not good.
Cheap strips use other-brand tape that is not strong enough over a long time.
The price is low, but it is not good for project use.
After testing, the sample brightness is 13–15lm, RA<80.
The LED can be sucked up by a magnet — the holder is iron. Iron rusts easily, heat dissipation is worse, so the lifetime is shorter than copper-holder LEDs.
